OFFENSE
Running Plays
Running concepts coordinate blocking angles and a ball carrier's read to attack defined gaps or stretch the defense.
Inside zone is downhill and one-cut. Outside zone stretches the edge. Power uses a pulling guard. Counter uses misdirection and two pullers.
The runner's job is not to invent a new play. It is to take the lane the scheme created.
A good run decision can still lose yards if a defender wins his gap. Decision quality and outcome quality are related, not identical.
