A football play should be more than a picture.
OpenPlay Football began with a question: can a football play be described once, then used to teach, animate, simulate, and share it.
Traditional diagrams are useful, but they often leave timing, assignments, reads, adjustments, and decisions implicit. The current site is a working proof of concept: fictional teams, a complete drive, a hidden defensive call, animated assignments, one football-specific decision, and Coach Riley Grant.
The simulation is intentionally simplified. It does not reproduce the complete complexity of professional football, and OpenPlay Football Demo Schema v0.1 is experimental.
Challenge Lab is the smallest next release that makes the product meaningfully more useful: replayable situations, progression, saved learning, daily reasons to return, and a play creator.
