Coverage Families
Coverage families describe how defenders divide deep space, underneath zones, and receiver matchups after the snap.
Cover 2: two deep, corners in the flats. Cover 3: three deep, a rotated curl-flat. Cover 4: four deep match. Cover 1: man plus a post safety. Cover 6: split field.
Pressure families add a fifth rusher and take a coverage player out of the pattern.
You do not need the full textbook. You need the family, because the family tells you which concept is built to answer it.
